WordPress is open source software founded 20 years ago that now powers approximately 43% of the web. I’ve spent the last 18 months contributing to the project. My focus has been on the site editing experience, and more recently modernising the admin experience by establishing a strong underlying system.

Contributing to an open source project of this scale has been a learning experience and given great insight into community engagement, managing expectations and external perception, and working within a tight set of constraints.
